WHO IS GRACE FELLOWSHIP?
Biblical: We Teach the Bible
Our rule for faith and practice comes from and is placed under the authority of God’s Word, this guides and governs everything we do.
Evangelical: We Proclaim the Gospel
The good news of Jesus Christ, His death for sinners and their need for Him is primary, always present and drives our ministry and lives.
Reformed: We Glorify God
Always reforming, and never wavering from the grace of God that saves us through faith, which we find in the doctrines of grace, the five solas and our confessional heritage.
Confessional: We are Reformed Baptists
We are unapologetically Calvinistic, Covenantal and Credobaptist, fully subscribing to the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. Our biblical, evangelical and reformed foundations lead us here by conviction.
OUR VISION
T stands for Teach Truth | E stands for Exalt Christ | L stands for Love the LORD | L stands for Lead in the Spirit
Psalm 96:2 is the verse by which our Vision for the church was created. It says: Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Our primary focus at Grace Fellowship is to equip disciples of Jesus to T.E.L.L. of His salvation, because our LORD is worthy of praise and proclamation.
Scripture. God's Word is our foundation and authority for all matters regarding the Christian life, we value Bible-centered preaching and teaching (Teach Truth). As we are faithful to preach and teach the whole counsel of God, we declare that it all points to Christ and He is exalted in the church (Exalt Christ). As we look to Christ, our affections are stirred to praise the LORD for who He is and what He's done for us (Love the LORD). Out of this love, and by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us, we are then able to lead and build one another up in spiritual growth and maturity "to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" (Lead in the Spirit).
Worship. Everything done in the life of the church is an act of worship to God, because we ascribe the worth, honor and glory He is due by cheerful hearts, reasoned thoughts and willing hands. This includes reading, singing, preaching, serving and caring for one another in Christian fellowship. In this, the priority in our worship is the ordinary means of grace that the Lord has given us. At Grace Fellowship, our primary goal in music is to sing the praises of our God for who He is, what He has done, and what He promises to do. So, we desire theologically accurate and appropriate songs that complement the teaching ministry. These songs will include: the psalms, the greatest traditional hymns of history balanced with the best of modern song and hymn-writers who share that conviction. Since our songs are to be joyous, we select songs that are also musically pleasing, stirring our affections toward the Lord.
Equipping. We are committed to men's and women's discipleship and equipping our members to know and share the gospel. We see the importance of growing the entire person into the image of Christ, our thoughts, our affections and our actions. All are needed and necessary in the life of the church. We do this because Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and our example for how to live as His bride, abiding in Him, walking according to the power of the Holy Spirit. We are a diverse group of people from different backgrounds, and our brokenness connects us to find our wholeness in Jesus Christ alone.
